Senior Associate Attorney Christopher Becker
Overview And Experience
Christopher Becker joined TonaLaw in November 2018, immediately bringing a high level of tenacity and vigor to each case he receives. A Long Island native, Christopher attended Chaminade High School, a Catholic institution operated by the Society of Mary. After high school, Chris attended St. Joseph’s College where he made the Dean’s List during each of his eight semesters in attendance, was a candidate for valedictorian, majored in History and Political Science, and graduated summa cum laude. While in undergrad, Christopher worked as a tutor at the St. Joseph’s College Academic Center, where he established an interest in utilizing his proficient reading and writing skills to assist those less inclined. It was during this time that he developed an interest in assisting others that remains to this day. The most formative experience during his time as a tutor came when he had the honor of tutoring an Army Reservist taking a college-level course as a prerequisite to seeking promotion who had difficulty finding assistance because he was not actively enrolled in any of the local colleges or universities.
Mr. Becker then proceeded to pursue a Juris Doctor at The University of Alabama School of Law where he was awarded a three-year academic excellence scholarship. While in attendance, Chris maintained a gleaming academic record punctuated by receiving “Best Brief” at the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition at Pace University, and his appointment as a Senior Editor of the Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review.
After receiving his law degree in 2016, as well as becoming a Bar certified attorney in the state of New York, Christopher now practices primarily in Personal Injury law with a focus on vehicular accidents in the Long Island area. In his personal time, Chris is a martial artist (practicing an amalgamation of Filipino, Indonesian, and Brazilian arts), an avid sports fan (rooting for the Mets, Rangers, and Crimson Tide), and a frequent concert-goer (having attended countless concerts and musical festivals all over the eastern United States).
