Overview And Experience

Thomas Tona is the founder and managing attorney of Tonalaw.  Since earning his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1993,  Mr. Tona has created a name for himself as a New York State trial attorney with an emphasis on Plaintiff’s Personal Injury and No-Fault Collections.  After working for a short time in private practice, Mr. Tona decided that he could create a client-centered firm and has spent the last 20 years cementing his firm’s culture and reputation for excellence.

A born and bred Long Islander, Mr. Tona and his family are dedicated to advocating for members of their community. Tonalaw is based out of Suffolk County, where they handle New York Plaintiff’s Personal Injury, No-Fault Collections, and Civil Litigation cases.  Mr. Tona believes in a hands-on approach to management and personally oversees personal injury cases involving traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, falls, trucking accidents, and automobile accidents.

In addition to personal injury claims, TonaLaw currently represents hundreds of healthcare providers and injured parties seeking reimbursement of wrongly denied no-fault claims, resolving in excess of 10,000 no-fault collection claims that have been wrongly denied by insurance carriers every year.

In his personal life, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, two dogs, and cat at his Suffolk County Northshore residence. He trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu three times a week at Emerson Souza BJJ in Baldwin, where he earned his black belt in 2017.
